Ouimet Award Recipient:
Karrie Webb

One of the most accomplished and respected players in the history of the sport, Karrie Webb is the only individual to complete the Career Super Grand Slam by winning all five majors in women’s golf.
Webb ranks top-10 in LPGA history in both career victories (41) and majors (7), including back-to-back U.S. Open titles in 2000 and 2001. She was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2005 at the age of 30, the youngest player ever to earn induction at the time.
Born in Queensland, Australia, Webb burst onto the scene in 1996 by winning the LPGA Rookie of the Year Award and becoming the first LPGA player to surpass $1 million in single-season earnings. She would top the LPGA Tour’s money list on two other occasions (1999 and 2000), earning LPGA Tour Player of the Year honors following both seasons.
Webb now focuses on golf course architecture and a range of charitable endeavors. Her philanthropic work includes support of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which advances initiatives for individuals impacted by paralysis, the Karrie Webb Scholarship Series, created to grow the game for Australian women and girls, and she serves as an official Ambassador for the Special Olympics and its 2026 USA Games. She was also honored as an Officer of the Order of Australia for her distinguished service to golf as a player, role model, and mentor.
It is with great pleasure that the Ouimet Fund is honoring Karrie Webb in 2026 with the Francis Ouimet Award for Lifetime Contributions to Golf.

America's Largest Golf Dinner
The Ouimet Banquet is the largest golf dinner in the United States and has become a fixture in the golf community, attracting upwards of 1,500 guests each year! The Banquet is always a special evening and a fantastic opportunity to hear from our Banquet Honorees, who represent so much of the history of the game of golf. Guests also hear from the Student Speaker, whose personal story embodies that of so many Ouimet Scholars. This annual fundraising event is a critical factor in our ability to award need-based Ouimet Scholarships, which for the 2025-26 school year will be $3.5 Million.
The 2026 Ouimet Annual Banquet will be held for the first time at the Omni Boston Seaport, a beautiful venue located just steps from downtown Boston. We look forward to hosting a special sit-down discussion with 7-Time Major Champion Karrie Webb and her friend and countryman, the 1991 Open Champion and CBS Golf Commentator Ian Baker-Finch. The two will discuss Karrie's career, her upbringing in Australia, and her community impact.
We are excited to celebrate Karrie Webb as the 2026 Annual Banquet Honoree!

About the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund
Since the day that he insisted that 10-year-old Eddie Lowery carry his bag in the 1913 U.S. Open, Mr. Ouimet was known for his interest in helping young people. The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund was founded in 1949 by his friends with a goal of honoring Mr. Ouimet’s name by helping young people afford college. The Ouimet Fund has continued that legacy proudly for over 75 years. To date, $57 Million in need-based college tuition assistance has been awarded to young people throughout Massachusetts.
The Ouimet Scholarship is unique in that it is renewable for up to four years and is awarded based on certified financial need of the Scholar. The selection process is competitive and today, our average award total over four years is more than $40,000.
7,000 young people have received Ouimet Scholarships, and many have gone on to prestigious positions of leadership in business and professional careers thanks to the generosity of so many.
The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund is a 501(c) (3) organization and is supported by contributions from generous individuals, clubs, corporations, organizations and loyal Alumni all across the country.
